E.A.R.L. was just trying to understand a thing or two. Little things like, you know, time and space. Luckily for us, he chose to do so through music.
Early on, he relentlessly went digging through Jazz and Disco and Funk and Reggae records for insight on these matters. Which was cool (and made for a wicked record collection) but still didn’t provide enough answers. But then he found Hip-Hop.
And with Hip-Hop came the infatuation with tweaking sounds, with sampling, with playing around with them audibles. Like an archeologist who gets the urge to become a sculptor mid-expedition and decides these pyramids could use a reality-shift to really bring out their cosmic vibes.
And he hasn’t stopped since, putting out music that’s both exploratory and unfamiliar — and with a lot of Funk to it.
Now we don’t know if has found his answers or not. But along as the music keeps coming out, we are not about to ask.
