Career Change through Open Source and Open Education

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Linux Learning Circle program enables libraries to offer accessible career-change training, facilitated by existing library staff and without the need for onsite subject experts. Students are offered no-cost education (using CC-licensed materials) and credentials towards careers in the growing field of Linux and open source software. It is specifically designed to offer career-shifting options to those displaced by COVID-19 or other circumstances. The panel will introduce the program and solicit community feedback, adding experience gained through trials running in Toronto libraries.
