The OAPEN Open Access Books Toolkit is a new free resource for academic book authors. Creative Commons licences are not well understood by authors. Part of this toolkit aims to address misconceptions about CC licences including concerns about plagiarism, to tackle the reluctance of some authors in publishing their work under a CC licence. Our presentation will describe the content and layout of the toolkit, focusing on copyright and licensing, ending with Q&A. We want the CC community to get involved by spreading the word about this toolkit and providing feedback for further development.
