The use of open datasets to develop AI technologies needs more attention. Open datasets form a critical part of the infrastructure in many significant AI technologies such as facial recognition and drug discovery. There are many unanswered questions about the use and impact of openly licensed datasets, and this panel aims to address some of them. The panel brings together experts from both legal and technical fields. The panelists will discuss the legal issues and implications of creating and licensing datasets using open licenses. They will also explore the technical uses of these datasets
