This session reflects on and explores the Transformation by Innovation in Distance Education (TIDE) project's collaborative remix of the Creative Commons (CC) Certificate programme. Working together at a distance to develop the course, the remix aims to better reflect the Myanmar context, participant experiences with open educational resources (OER) and review the new copyright law enacted in May 2019. The presentation will additionally contextualise the work within existing frameworks and research on OER use and development in the Global South and share creator and participant experiences.
