Preliminary results are presented from research carried out at the UNED (the largest distance university in Spain), which analysed students' learning practices in digital open spaces, and how these practices affect teaching in the subjects. The results of a questionnaire to students are presented, describing the learning practices they carry out outside the official digital classroom and the platforms they use in each case. It also shows some statistical inferences that may be of interest to understand student behaviour on open digital platforms and to guide some future pedagogical actions.
